Everything Bryson City!

Downtown

In the heart of our town, you will find several shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions such as the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. While you're here, stop by our office at 175 Everett Street!

Some of our favorite food options:

  • Everett Street Diner: The best breakfast in the area! Expect to wait upwards of 60 minutes on weekends.
  • La Dolce Vita: A cafe right across from the train station, you will love their locally-roasted coffee and bakery selection!
  • High Test Deli & Subs: For lunch, you can't beat the people or food at The High Test. Be sure to order the Cuban!
  • The Everett Street Bistro (pictured): Delicious local cuisine, and a great wine selection!
  • Soda Pops Ice Cream Shop: A staple of Everett Street, you won't believe the custom flavors or the retro decor!
  • HoneyBear's Cupcakery: Although they are new to town, this family-owned business is making waves in our community with their incredible flavors - more than just cupcakes!

Surrounding Area

The Bryson City Chamber's motto is "Have a big vacation in a small town." And I cannot think of a more-fitting way to describe it.

  • Great Smoky Mountain Railroad: A scenic train ride through the mountains! Closer to Christmas, this train transitions to The Polar Express, where families can experience riding to 'The North Pole' and getting to meet Santa there!
  • Nantahala Outdoor Center: Whitewater rafting, zip-lining, and home of the 2013 International Freestyle Kayaking Championships.
  • Deep Creek: This Federally-owned park is home to a three-mile loop trail, where you'll see three waterfalls! Great selection of picnic tables for your family to enjoy eating by the creek!
  • Darnell Farms: Enjoy life on the farm, at this family owned and operated experience. Whether they're hosting the annual Strawberry Jam festival or their annual corn maze/pumpkin patch, there is always something going on down on the farm!
  • Tsali Bike Trails: 26 miles of biking and horse trails, just fifteen minutes from downtown!
  • Fontana Lake: One of the largest lakes in North Carolina is just minutes from Bryson City! Great for fishing and paddle-boarding!
  • Bryson City Outdoors: If you're looking for hiking gear, great beer selection, or even to rent a paddle board, this shop has it all!
